CCC team attend EuropaCom in London to reveal 2020 plans

Since being acquired by Europa Worldwide Group in 2018, Continental Cargo Carriers has been putting firm foundations for growth in place, which was revealed at Europa’s first all-staff conference.

Held at the QEII Centre in central London, the EuropaCom 2020 event was attended by 350 employees from the UK and beyond, including 18 members of staff from CCC who travelled from Belgium.

CCC General Manager Carlo Turner took to the stage to present his team’s plans for the future and outlined how CCC is now in a strong position to develop its services in 2020.

2020 vision

Carlo said: “We were thrilled to attend EuropaCom for the first time along with hundreds of our colleagues from Europa. It was great to hear MD Andrew Baxter set out his ambitious and exciting plans for the business – including a goal of a £1bn turnover – followed by Directors from all divisions of the business outlining their strategies for continuous growth this year and beyond.

“Since CCC was acquired by Europa there has been much inward investment which means we’re now in a position to strengthen our market share and focus on offering products that differentiate our services from those of our competitors.

“EuropaCom was brilliant from a team-building perspective and we came back energised and inspired to smash our targets this year!”

Europa reveals record turnover and profit

At the conference, Europa revealed record turnover (£180m) and profit (£5.2m) in its annual financial results (year-end 31st December 2018). By the end of 2019 this had grown to £205m (with profits of £6m). In addition, the business has doubled its employees and now employs over 950 staff.
